I love peonies! They are by far and hands down my favorite flower. They are also nearly impossible to get, especially in Miami.

I really wish I could use them in my wedding. Enough of wishful thinking though because they are out of season in October. Damn them!!

This weekend we had the pleasure of once more driving down to Islamorada and visiting our venue- Pierre's Restaurant. This time however we were having our food tasting. The food at Pierre's is ORGASMIC to say the least. We tasted the Shrimp Bisque, The Mozzarella Caprese salad, the Tuna, and the Filet Mignon. I'm allergic to seafood so I can't tell you how the soup or tuna tasted but I can definitely vouch for the Caprese and the Filet Mignon. I'm a picky eater and have to have my steak "well done" and yes for all you steak lovers I know what you're going to say "how can you eat a steak well done? It removes all the flavor from the steak and tastes burnt" No, well done does not mean crispy and no it does not mean burnt. It means no pink at all. Very few places are skilled enough to make a steak well done right the first time and without burning it. Luckily the Pierre's is genius and got it done right on the first try. I can't say enough about how good the food was. We savored each and every bite. I can't wait to have our guests enjoy the food at Pierre's. I'm sure it's definetly not the typical 'wedding food' everyone expects.

After only its second season of business in Islamorada, Pierre's was not only recognized, but applauded by The ZAGAT Survey — one of the most well-known and well-respected restaurant guides in the world.
